Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission released the second batch of provincial low-carbon pilots, and the Alliance Promised Land was listed as a pilot near the zero-carbon emission community. With only four near-zero carbon emission communities in the province, this is the only selected pilot in Jiaxing.

1、Ecological environment protection
The overall planning of Alliance Promised Land is led by SOM Company of the United States, its landscape engineering led by SWA Group, and its environmental engineering led by Sherwood Company. This territory of 11.438 square kilometers featuresthe 3 square kilometerstown surrounded by 8 square kilometers of beautifulecological landscape. In the construction process, prefabrication and traditional construction methods are used to achieve efficient, energy-saving, and clean construction.
2、Advocating for low-carbon travel
In addition, Alliance encourages residents to develop low-carbon environmental awareness in areas of clothing, food, housing, transportation, and electricity usage. Open community buses, shared electric vehicles, green travel, energy-saving renovations, energy-efficient lighting, as well as rational use of electricity.
3、Promoting clean energy
The town's first housing complex and the Alliance bilingual school use ground source heat pumps to provide refrigeration, heating, and hot water, saving about 40% of energy. In addition, some roofs are laid with photovoltaic tiles, making effective use of resources.
4、Recycling water resources
Alliance adopts low-impact development technology to replace rainwater pipe network with ecological grass ditch to purify rainwater through“infiltration, stagnation, storage, cleaning, usage and drainage” process. The construction of gravel wetland to purify river water anddredgingthe Broken River aim to recreate beautifulJiangnan scenery.
