In the process of building the town, the Alliance
team included prefabricated construction methods to improve the quality of town
houses. The town's first housingcomplex and the Alliance bilingual school use
ground source heat pumps, saving 35% of energy compared to air
conditioners. Some roofs are laid with photovoltaic tiles, generating
electricity into the national grid, for which the proceeds go to the anagement
and maintenance of the town.
In addition, Alliance encourages residents to develop
low-carbon environmental awareness. Open community buses, shared electric
vehicles, green travel, energy-saving renovations, energy-efficient lighting,
as well as rational use of electricity.
In 2018, Alliance's Promised Land was listed as
a pilot project for Zhejiang's near-zero carbon emission community.
